The result? The coffee bed is evenly extracted, promoting balanced flavors and more detectable aromatic compounds.

Use the HARIO Alpha Series V60-01 Dripper to brew perfectly balanced, delightfully complex pourover coffee. Here is a recipe courtesy of Eight Ounce Coffee.
Boil water to around 90°C (194°F), or to your preferred temperature.
Wet the HARIO V60-01 paper filter inside of the dripper to remove paper taste.
Weigh out a 1:16 ratio of ground coffee to water (i.e., 12.5g of coffee for 200g of water). Adjust ratio if necessary.
Add 2-3x the amount of water as the coffee's weight. This is your bloom cycle, which takes 30-45 seconds.
Add the remaining hot water intermittently. Timing will vary depending on your recipe. Generally, this is between 1:15-1:30 minutes, with a total brewing time of 3-4 minutes.

with the SWITCH Base.
